New: Activate O'Neill |
A new program for Black, brown, Indigenous, students of color, and international students to foster a sense of belonging, support community well-being, and transform O’Neill to be a more just and equitable place. Starting in the spring semester of 2022-23 as a pilot program, they hope to identify the needs and interests of BIPOC students in undergraduate and graduate programs to plan for future programming, advocacy, services, and engagement. |

On Feb. 17, more than 350 Hoosiers attended the Indiana Sustainability and Resilience Conference (ISRC) at the IUPUI Campus Center. The conference, hosted by Indiana University’s Environmental Resilience Institute and IUPUI Sustainability, brought together students, academics, industry leaders, local governments, community groups, and others for a day of knowledge-sharing and networking to advance climate resilience in the Hoosier State. |

IU Faculty part of NASEM committee advising EPA Office of Research and Development to shift to systems-based approach |
Shahzeen Attari, an associate professor at the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, was part of the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine committee’s report, “Transforming EPA Science to Meet Today’s and Tomorrow’s Challenges,” which outlined ways the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research and Development can shift to a systems-based approach to provide a substantially broader and better integrated approach to environmental protection. |
