Meet the facultyBy bringing together faculty, students and staff reaching across 10 schools within IU, IPE is your portal for academics, research, creative activities, and organizations focusing on the environment.
IPE is jointly administered by the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, the School of Public Health, and College of Arts + Sciences. Our interdisciplinary nature reflects a commitment to preparing the next generation of scientists, policy-makers, communicators, and leaders who face significant and complex environmental and sustainability challenges.
The Integrated Program in the Environment fully and wholeheartedly embraces and celebrates diversity. Diversity represents an approach to viewing the world, a commitment to inclusion, and a deep recognition and affirmation of who we all are and where we come from. Core components of sustainability and learning outcomes associated with IPE's environmental and sustainability-focused academic programs are practicing diversity by viewing issues from positionality of others, evaluating policy to serve ethics and justice, and applying alternative approaches to solving challenges. In this way, IPE is committed to inclusion where everyone is welcomed, valued, and provided opportunities to grow so they can do their best work. We express and celebrate diversity in race, ethnicity, color, nationality, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, socioeconomic status, religion, disability, age, military status, political ideology, visa status, economic status, geographic location, and language/linguistic ability.

The environmental issues we face require skills, experiences, insights, and people from all fields. If you're at IU and you're ready to build a more sustainable world, please join us at IPE.
