The Environment, Society, and Sustainability Institute (ESSI) is IU Bloomington’s front door to environmental research, academics, and student life. We connect people, programs, and resources from across campus, making it easier to find opportunities and contribute to a more sustainable future.
ESSI brings together students, faculty, and staff working across the natural sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities, policy, public health, business, technology, design, and other fields.
